A woman has been arrested in Palma for posing as a Civil Guard agent to a lover she met on Tinder. The detainee wore her husband’s uniform on appointments with the victim, a musician, and she claimed to work as a police officer investigating crimes.
The woman also told the victim that she lived with her brother who was also an officer and that she took care of her two nieces, who were actually her daughters. She moved into the victim’s house with her daughters.
The victim confronted the woman after suspecting that she was posing as a Civil Guard agent, which she denied. He eventually blocked the woman from her social media accounts and phone, but she showed up at her workplace and sent him an email claiming she had stolen some of her belongings.
Once suspicions about the fabrication of the woman’s life arose, the victim began recording their conversations for fear that she would report him.
The Civil Guard interviewed the husband of the woman who stated that they had a complicated relationship and that he knew that his wife had been dating the victim, had posed as a police officer and told the musician that his daughters were his nieces.
After confronting the woman about the lies, she said that because of her statements they were going to expel her from the Civil Guard and she would end up working as a security guard at Carrefour.
