The situation in hospitals has long been tense, now there is an attempt at reform.

  • Too many clinics and often mediocre quality at enormous cost: hospitals in Germany they are on the edge. Starting in 2024, a large-scale reform law should remedy the situation.

Maximilian Adelung knows the deadly sides of the German hospital system. Adelung is a medical lawyer in Munich, and the people he reports on either did not or only survived the system. Recently, the Adelung law firm took up the case of a man who underwent open abdominal surgery while water was dripping from the ventilation system above him. Fluid ran from the wound and contaminated the surgical instruments, and the man died of blood poisoning.
