Zelensky: Can you deliver leopards? Then give them to me here!”

In an ARD interview broadcast on Thursday night, Selenski strongly criticized Germany’s hesitant attitude when it comes to possible deliveries of main battle tanks. “You are grown people. You can talk like this for six months, but people die here, every day.” He then added: “In simple language: Can you deliver leopards or not? Then give them to me here!”

USA pledge more billions in military aid to Ukraine

Shortly before the Ramstein meeting, the US government announced more billions in military aid for Ukraine. The Pentagon published a list of large arms deliveries on Thursday night (local time).

The package includes, among other things, 59 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and, for the first time, 90 Stryker wheeled infantry fighting vehicles, but not the Abrams main battle tanks. It is the second largest single pack of its kind to date.

According to the ministry, the delivery of the American Abrams main battle tanks is currently meaningless. The Abrams requires different fuel than the Leopard 2 or Challenger 2 main battle tanks and is expensive to maintain, Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said on Thursday.
