MEMBER of one of the committees in charge of creating the enormous papier-mâché failures at the Valencia festivities of the same name, he has been hospitalized after suffering a homophobic attack at this year’s event.
Tomasos-Carles Cervera was attacked late Saturday night after being followed by a group of four people who began to verbally mistreat him and a companion.
The other man was able to escape, but Cervera was assaulted with a glass bottle, according to the EFE news agency.
The victim was still receiving hospital treatment Thursday after he underwent four-hour jaw surgery on Wednesday.
