HEAVY snowfall in the north of the UK has caused further travel chaos after a major airport was forced to close both runways on Thursday 19th January.
Due to heavy snowfallManchester Airport said this morning that it has been forced to temporarily close its two runways.
“After a period of heavy snowfall, we have temporarily closed both runways,” an airport news release read.
“Health and safety will always be our top priority and operations will resume as soon as possible.
“Passengers are advised to contact their airline for the most up-to-date flight information.”
