The light snowfall has spread through areas of the Axarquía, specifically in Alfarnate, known as the ‘Pyrenees of the Costa del Sol’, which woke up yesterday with a light white blanket of snow.
The peaks of the appropriately named ‘Sierra de las Nieves’ were also powder white yesterday, the coldest day so far this winter that saw 1000-1200 meter snow cover fall to 800 meters above sea level. .
