At least three people have been injured after a large explosion at a fuel storage facility in North Texas.

A large explosion that occurred this morning, Tuesday January 17, at a fuel storage facility in Texas has left at least three people injured. The incident sparked a large fire at Johnson Tank Farm in the Phillips 66 Borger Complex.

Crews from the Borger Fire Department were immediately deployed to the scene to combat the flames, along with patrols from the Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office. It was reported that two helicopters and at least three ambulances were also dispatched.

According to Hutchinson County Office of Emergency Management officials, the incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. local time. The facility is located on Highway 136 in the Texas Panhandle, north of the cities of burger Y stinnett in Hutchinson County.

In a statement, Borger Complex officials wrote: “As of now, the fire is still active and staff are working to stabilize the situation. All the personnel in the place have been accounted for and three injured are receiving adequate medical care,’ according to a report borgernewsherald.com.
