The average price of electricity for regulated rate customers linked to the wholesale market in Spain will drop by 37.17 percent on Saturday, January 21 compared to today, Friday the 20th. Specifically, it will stand at €57.04/MWh.

According to provisional data from the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE)In the auction, the average price of energy in the wholesale market -the so-called ‘pool’- will be €58.89/MWh tomorrow.

The minimum price on Saturday of €37.76 (MWh) will occur between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., while the maximum price will be recorded between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., when it will be €111.56/MWh.

A compensation for gas companies of -1.85 €/MWh is added to this pool price. It must be paid by consumers who are beneficiaries of the measure, regulated rate consumers (PVPC), or those who, despite being in the free market, have an indexed rate.
